College Union

"All for one; one for all"

Which reflects the leader ship quality by shouldering responsibility and to understand the value of democratic society, the college forms the union among the students. In every academic year the members of the union are selected which exist the purpose of directing the academic and extra curricular activities of the college by coordinating by the management and the staff. On September 3rd, 2009 Ms.P.Punitha was selected as college union leader and Mrs.N.Parimala as assistant leader.

Thrice in an annual year, the department association programs were conducted by the student teacher themselves under the guidance of the staff members.

Fine Arts

Mangayarkarasi College provides an excellent chance to enrich inborn skills and personality of the students through fine arts. The college organises various competitions in Dance (solo and Group),Music (solo and group), Essay writing, Verse writing , Rangoli, Elocution,Just a minute ,Dumbcharade,Art from waste , Model making , and Cooking are conducted in which B.Ed and M.Ed students take active part in it .

Sports

We encourage a balanced attitude to sports and games and recognize that, while sport may be a passion to some, to others exercise may be no more than a means to an end. We offer students the opportunity to take part in a variety of sports and actively support them, whether they are interested in sport as a recreational activity, or wish to pursue their interest at a more competitive level. To create awareness about physical fitness among the students the college conducts competitions in 15 minor games and major games such as Volley ball, Throw ball, Tennikoit, Shuttle Badminton, and Yoga. Indoor games such as Chess, Carom are conducted in the college every year.

Extension Activities

An extension program organized to pursuit women emancipation to extemporize the sensitivity towards social services.

The extension work has been consequently doing by taking tution’s for the educationally backward students in Mangayarkarasi higher secondary school students and also conducting awareness programs, cleaning works, activity based on socially useful productive work.
