Mangayarkarasi College of Education for Women is situated at Paravai, Madurai District of Tamilnadu, Madurai-Dindugal National highway.
The Campus 8 Kms from Madurai,

The campus is bestowed with a pastoral atmosphere of classic beauty of nature, spreading over vast area of 75 acres providing a pleasant and calm environment. The natural atmosphere maintain in the campus provides a calm and serene atmosphere that is pleasant, healthy and stimulating in every sense.
Mangayarkarasi College of Education for Women, sponsored by Mangayarkarasi Educational Trust was started and functioning from 2006. Our college is recognized by the government of Tamilnadu, approved by NCTE (National Council of Teacher Education) and affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. Courses offered by our college are
- B.Ed., (1 Year duration)
- M.Ed., (1 Year duration)
Relationship with parents
Parent teachers meeting was conducted once in year together their opinions about the institutions and their ward’s performance of the mentors, student difficulties recording subject, family and Psychological area. The institution has taken decision to enter the comfort zone and fulfill the requirements of the students stakeholders.

Challenges faced by the institution in building the quality Education.
90% of students who are admitted in the B.Ed colleges are from rural area with a Agricultural background & poor economical background. The management has arranged free transport facilities for the students in and around Madurai.
The institution is exclusively for women students who were in a downtrodden status. Quality Education is provided for the Women folk, which leads to women empowerment. Proper security is provided.
Most of the students come from Tamil Medium are undergone a Bridge courses, which are conducted by guest lectures and experts, through practioning in the Language Lab.
The institution arranged a personality development programme as the students come out of rural area they need some personality developments. Considering the same, Personality camps are arranged in order to improve their intra and extra personality in order to improve the overall personality of the students.

Future Academic Plans
- Starting of M.Phil course
- Refresher course for the faculty on "Educational Technology"
To develop innovative skills, we plan to conduct group instructions
- To undertake at least three extension programs.
- To participate in seminars and presentation of papers.
- One day seminar on “Life skill development” for the students.
- Two days workshop on “Multimedia Packages”.
- Plan to make a computerized library.
